Infinite Building Renovation

In synergy with the activities carried out for Energiesprong Italia, EDERA took part in the European project H2020 INFINTE, together with 18 other partners from Italy, Slovenia, France, Holland, Spain, Germany and Austria. The aim of the project is to develop and encourage the adoption of specific kits (both for the envelope and for the systems) aimed at the deep, digitized and industrialized retrofit of buildings to demonstrate their enormous market potential, towards a growing decarbonisation of the built environment. Performance, installation times and costs of the solutions produced are being outlined thanks to the application on three medium-sized pilot buildings.

EDERA’s contribution concerns the definition of innovative business models that allow the integration of the kits developed for specific categories of potential users (condominiums, real estate funds, social housing organizations, general contractors and others). The Observatory on Deep and Industrialized Requalification is also being launched, aimed at creating an open innovation network for realities interested in sharing experiences and best practices, aimed at stimulating reporting, benchmarking, training and lobbying activities on the subject.

Thanks to the project, EDERA had the opportunity to get in touch with companies and research centres that are at the forefront of innovation in the redevelopment process on a European scale.
