Dario is a Building Engineer/Architect and PhD, with international experience both in academic research and professional practice. He worked on parametric design and robotic manufacturing for timber in construction, developing innovative and sustainable off-site solutions. He collaborated with several international research groups and institutions including CNMI at University of Cambridge, CREATE at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense, AML at University of Pavia, FAB-Union at Tongji University and ArchiUnion in Shanghai, experimenting the use on 6-axis industrial robots for customized timber construction products.
His research focused on sustainability of the built environment through timber as construction material, analyzing the supply chain, material processing and carbon impacts through LCA. At Cambridge, Dario led a project aimed at increasing the use of locally sourced timber species for structural construction products, enhancing the value of this resource and promoting alternatives to short-term applications.
At EDERA, Dario works as Project Manager, coordinating European funded projects and supporting the development of the Energiesprong Italia initiative integrating his knowledge in innovation and sustainability.
