An Offsite Hub for the Housing Challenge
The European Affordable Housing Plan, much like the Green Homes Directive, urgently highlights the need to invest in new construction methods and offsite building techniques to tackle the major challenge of ensuring both accessibility and sustainability in housing.
Our country, in particular, requires a transformation of construction practices to integrate economic and social sustainability, quality, and durability, with the ultimate goal of creating an inclusive, future-proof built environment—both in renovation and new construction.
EDERA, an innovation center promoted by the construction and social housing sectors and a national reference point for offsite construction, is launching Offsite Hub Italy: a platform designed to leverage the consolidated experience of the EnergieSprong network, which for over four years has brought together nearly 100 enterprises, housing companies, research institutions, and public authorities around the topic of industrialized deep renovation. This expertise is now combined with offsite construction skills for new builds, particularly in affordable housing and temporary housing.
The platform represents the first and largest Italian network of skills and relationships focused on national priorities, positioning itself as a key interlocutor to guide, coordinate, and develop the necessary innovation.
On March 3, 2026, we invite you to join us alongside Italy’s key housing and construction stakeholders to create a shared space for discussion and collaboration.
The event, open to Italian housing and construction professionals (companies, developers, designers, and managers of public and private housing assets), will take place at 1:00 PM at Cariplo Factory, Via Bergognone 34, Milan. The meeting will be an opportunity to share projects, ideas, needs, and initiatives, fostering networking and jointly planning a common work agenda.
