Pieve Emanuele wins the EnergieSprong Top Retrofit 2026

The EnergieSprong Top Retrofit 2026 award has been assigned to the Pieve Emanuele (MI) project, Lot 2.

The announcement was made during the Renovation Days of EDERA-Offsite Hub Italia on 21 October: five buildings from 1967 and 160 homes, renovated with an Isopan dry construction system that tackles energy efficiency and seismic safety in the same intervention.

One of the reasons it was awarded, however, cannot be seen by looking at the single construction site, but by assessing the development of a series of interventions replicated and optimised within the same neighbourhood. Between the first and the second lot, the offsite construction system moved from version 1.0 to 3.0, with improvements born from experience in the field and from the investments made by the manufacturers.

This is what distinguishes industrialisation from an approach limited to the single intervention. Repeating a project does not mean delivering the same result, but an ever better one, scalable and able to reduce time and costs. It is a learning curve that makes the model optimisable and cost-effective, and one we were able to document in this Top Retrofit.

The award was collected by Andrea Tessadori for Isopan, together with Giovanni Cannistrà of M&C Architetti Associati, the Mayor of Pieve Emanuele Pierluigi Costanzo and Paolo Festa, Councillor delegated to the Environment of the Metropolitan City of Milan.
